Can't Wait

I find myself so eager to hold my son. The other day I just wanted him out of there and in my arms, I can't really explain it but I am sure those of you who are parents know what I am talking about.

This week we had the hospital tour and next week we have one of our classes. Time is really flying, before we know it Thanksgiving will be here and then Christmas and then AJ. I say that as if it is going to be a holiday like the preceding and for Cami and I it will be. It will be a huge day to celebrate and welcome what God has given us to our ever growing family. Exciting times for sure!

This weekend Cami is at her first crafts show for her purses. She has been there two days and sold one purse. Hopefully today, Saturday will be a better day. We are both praying that this will be a viable way for her to stay home with AJ and for Cami to continue to enjoy the creativity that God has given her.

You can really see AJ moving now. Major kicks and movement and he squirms around in her belly. Everyday at 10:00pm he wakes up and get moving for about 30 minutes. We can almost set our watches by it. We are both getting more and more excited as the day approaches. We see new born babies and we can not wait to see, touch, smell (except the poopy diapers) AJ. I also really look forward to seeing all the cousins playing together. What a change for the family to go from 3 to 6 in one year and what a blessing as well.

Retreat and sickness

Last weekend was Mens Retreat and this weekend was Women's Retreat. I got to go to my but Cami was not able to go to her cause she got sick and I joined her soon afterwards. It stinks and she was totally bummed. The nice thing was to have a long weekend together, albeit not in the most ideal of circumstances.

AJ is moving now more than ever and Cami has noticed that she can see him moving now. It is fun knowing that he is a he and we have already started attributed personality to him. I am sure that our experience with his personality will change as we see it develop. We do pray for him often. We pray for health, guidance, wisdom in raising him. But most of all to echo D.L. Moody we pray that he will be mighty in the kingdom of God. Cami and I pray that we can raise him to love and fear the Lord, this we believe is the highest calling of a parent. Simple but there is so much wrapped in that complex statement. So if you think about it, and you pray for us, we ask that you would pray this with us as well.

The Ferreira Times

Hoping that we can keep this updated and create a place that not only chronicles what is going on, but will let our families and friends keep in touch and hopefully catch some glimpses of our life. We write this knowing that soon by God's grace our first son will be born in a few short months. We look forward to writing more about him and all the other adventures that lie ahead.

God Bless
